What You’ll Find Here

A girl longing to know God and figuring out how adulting works

This is Mya, Lately—my honest space to learn how I’m navigating growing up, walking with God, living each and every day. I post videos of my life, documenting and sharing the ordinary life of a twenty-something growing up. From pretty much anything, you’ll get to learn more about me as we figure this whole thing out!

Where My Story began..

I’m so glad you’re here

My story began being a Florida-born girly who moved to the north east, living there for the past couple of years. Seeing how beautiful a place could be and the potential of what comes with it inspired me to want to do the same thing for myself. I paused my college education to work and I’m pursuing my love of writing online. God gave me the gift to write, so this is my creative outlet to document and share my days adulting.

This is where I share the raw, honest, and sometimes messy reality of starting over. From growing my relationship with Christ and healing past hurts to pursuing personal style and finding joy in the small, ordinary moments. As I navigate decision-making, financial realities, and the path to becoming the woman God designed me to be. Grab something to drink, get comfortable, and I’ll share how I’ve been lately.

FAQ

Haha, would you believe me if I told you this would be my seventh blog I’ve started? I didn’t become a full-time blogger until as of recently but I’ve always loved the idea of writing for myself. When I was younger, my first blog was wanting to help girls around my age see the importance of loving themselves and how to handle high school. Every blog after that evolved into what it is now where I’m following my younger self’s idea and wanting to inspire others now. This will be the first and last blog, especially when I want to see what comes next!

When I started Bible Studying seriously a while back before I put it down, the first book I gravitated to was James. I always loved that name and it had my favorite verse I saved on You Version. I recommend it to anyone who’s new or don’t know where to start, especially when it gives everyday advice. From how we are to treat people to verses that’ll allow you to self reflect, this book will always be my favorite even as I’m working and moving through life with God.

Hmm, I would say it really depends on what it is I’m working on and what’s needed! I use the DJI OSMO Pocket 3: Creator Edition for most of my photos and videos. I also use my smartphone, Samsung S24 if it’s on-the-go or as my backup camera. For editing videos and photos, I use my phone or my Samsung Tab S9 Ultra. My computer, I’m simply using a gaming laptop to do all my typing, editing, and anything blog-related! I like having a good variety with what I’m using and everything I create is self-taught, of course!

This is a very hard question for me because I like to think that life has so many avenues to do down. Ever since I was younger, I have what I picture myself doing but the real answer is what God has for me. Who knows where I may be but either way, I know what it’ll feel right and there is so much that could happen within this time until now.

My! This would definitely be so excited and I’m already anticipating for this wonderful moment that you’d want to work with me! Thank you for that and I appreciate the idea, of course! You can reach out to me via my contact page to send me an email. I will get back to you asap and hopefully we can work together! That’ll be lovely and something fun for sure!
